Unified Extensible Firmware Interface (UEFI)
Wondering how to get your HPE ProLiant Server up and running with improved security using industry standard interfaces?
Each HPE ProLiant Gen9 and Gen10 Server supports Unified Extensible Firmware Interface (UEFI). This industry standard is a set of interfaces between the system firmware, the operating system, and various components of the system firmware that deliver enhanced security benefits for the HPE Servers.
The HPE ProLiant system BIOS is a UEFI solution based on the latest UEFI Specification revisions. In addition, most HPE ProLiant Gen9 and Gen10 Server are UEFI Class 2 solution, supporting both Legacy BIOS boot and UEFI boot modes, providing users the flexibility to switch between modes. UEFI supports iLO RESTful API and is Redfish API conformant.
HPE IMC Business Service Performance Software
The HPE IMC Business Service Performance (BSP) Software is an Intelligent Management Center (IMC) module, targeted at support of data centers and large campuses, or remote sites that rely on centralized services. IMC BSP Software creates a holistic service health score dashboard for activity, health, availability and other factors for each individual customer-defined service.
This score uses data from the IMC platform, and optionally from SHM, APM and NTA modules to reflect the status of the application, servers, VMs, and network hardware that make up the service, giving a overall service view.
HPE Serviceguard Metrocluster
Could your business stay alive and profitable with lengthy interruptions to your IT?
Protect your business from downtime in the event of a fault, failure or disaster with HPE Serviceguard Metrocluster. This Serviceguard solution can be implemented and put to optimal use with a variety of HPE storage solutions that best fit your data center needs, and has features that can help reduce your planned day to day downtime by migrating workloads during maintenance.
HPE OpenVMS
With HPE OpenVMS, get a platform that is proven to deliver. OpenVMS is a general-purpose, multi-user Operating system that offers immunity to both planned and unplanned downtime with proven continuous computing, including disaster-tolerant, multisite clusters at an open system price. While most enterprise IT environments measure uptime in days or weeks, OpenVMS customers characterize uptime in terms of years. You can depend on OpenVMS for uncompromising reliability, availability, scalability, and security.
HPE Active Health System
Troubleshooting server hardware issues taking too much time and information that could assist you in troubleshooting not captured? Myriad of tools and log files driving you crazy?
HPE Active Health System is an essential component of the iLO Management Engine portfolio. It is an industry-first technology that provides continuous, proactive health monitoring of over 1600 system parameters. 100% of configuration changes are logged for more accurate problem resolution. SmartMemory and SmartDrive devices log failure information to accurately document events and avoid inadvertent re-use of failed components. This enables customers to start problem analysis faster and spend less time reproducing or describing errors
For support, hand off the Active Health System log file to HPE support and get your issue resolution. You can also view the error information contained in the Active Health System Viewer by uploading your Active Health System file to https://infosight.hpe.com/app/login
HPE IMC Orchestrator and Analyzer
The HPE IMC Orchestrator and Analyzer is an IMC solution that is designed to simplify network operations and management through orchestration, automation, and analytical capabilities. It is best suited for environments that are required to scale rapidly due to exponentially growing traffic from cloud, mobile, big data applications, and IoT .
The HPE IMC Orchestrator and Analyzer accelerates service delivery and enhances operational efficiency through its automated deployment capabilities for underlay and overlay network, service provisioning for VXLAN L2/L3 services, multi-tenant provisioning, and application performance insights with application telemetry. It also provides analytics and AI capabilities to offer a holistic view of network health for faster troubleshooting and issue resolution.
HPE IMC User Behavior Auditor Software
The HPE IMC User Behavior Auditor (UBA) Software provides network administrators the ability to audit the behavior of internal users to solve security challenges. In conjunction with the HPE IMC Access Manager (UAM) Software, the IMC UBA Software is built to adapt to network environment changes.
Among the features especially helpful for network administrators are comprehensive log collections and audit functions which digest information from HTTP, FTP, and SMTP packets.
HPE IMC Network Traffic Analyzer Software
HPE IMC Network Traffic Analyzer (NTA) Software is an Intelligent Management Center (IMC) optional module that integrates network layers 4 through 7 monitoring into the IMC base network management platform. IMC NTA Software uses the instrumentation in network devices like routers and switches to provide real-time and historical reporting on network application usage.
You can tailor IMC NTA Software data collection and reporting capabilities to meet specific reporting needs and leverage the data for better planning, monitoring, and enhancing of network capabilities.
HPE IMC Virtual Application Networking Fabric Manager Software
HPE Intelligent Management Center (IMC) Software, with the optional HPE IMC Virtual Application Networking Fabric Manager Software, includes added functionality called HPE FlexFabric Network Analytics. When HPE FlexFabric Network Analytics is combined with the HPE FlexFabric 5940 or 5950 Switch it delivers real time visibility of microburst network congestion which negatively impacts overall network operations and performance.
Microbursts last only for sub seconds making its detection difficult by today’s network monitoring tools such as SNMP. HPE FlexFabric Network Analytics enables the network operator to pinpoint these microburst congestion points and their sources. This gives the network operator granular visibility into these spontaneous congestion points. With this information operators will be able to analyze in more detail their network configuration and make the necessary adjustments as needed for optimal network performance.
Smart Update Manager (SUM)
Are you spending too much time and money on server updates?
Smart Update Manager (SUM) and the Service Pack for ProLiant (SPP) combine to create the Hewlett Packard Enterprise Smart Update Technology to solve the problem of time-consuming, expensive, and error-prone updates.
SUM is an innovative tool for keeping the firmware, drivers, and system software of HPE ProLiant, HPE Synergy, HPE BladeSystem and HPE Moonshot infrastructures and associated options up to date and secure.
SUM discovers the installed hardware and the current versions of firmware, drivers, and system software, provides an update recommendation, and
applies the updates in an efficient order to reduce impact on operations.
SUM provides a variety of interfaces for applying updates, so you can pick the interface that meets your needs. Update the servers while they are offline or online, locally or remotely via web browser, or interactively or automatically.
