Are you bringing new mission-critical applications to market while supporting existing ones in order to accelerate speed of business, agility and innovation?
Is your traditional high-end storage holding you back because you are tied down administering, tuning, and supporting infrastructure?
HPE Primera redefines what's possible in mission-critical storage by combining autonomous operations with extreme resiliency and performance. Built with the agility of cloud and powered by HPE InfoSight, HPE Primera delivers instant access to data with storage that sets up in minutes, upgrades transparently, and is delivered as a service. Plus, it’s backed by a 100% Availability Guarantee1.
Storage Area Networks and the tools that are used to manage them have become increasingly complex. SAN administrators spend more time in configuration tasks – tedious manual activities which can potentially result in unplanned downtime. The reasons for the complexity include the increased adoption of Virtualization – a complexity stemming from mapping the virtual and physical layers of the SAN and the adoption of multiple protocols - iSCSI, FC and FCoE. HPE Smart SAN for 3PAR makes SAN configuration and management simple and error-free through intelligent automation. It is a protocol agnostic application embedded in SAN components that enables the 3PAR to orchestrate configuration, settings and policies in a HPE StoreFabric SAN. HPE Smart SAN’s Target Driven Peer Zoning enables you to configure zones accurately in minutes and not in hours and its automatic discovery mechanism creates a powerful platform which would enable real-time diagnostics and SAN analysis for more resiliency.
With an installed base of more than 19 million drives and 6 million users, DDS/DAT is easily the world’s most popular tape storage format. The latest generation of this simple and successful format is delivered by the HPE DAT 320 tape storage solution, providing a 12 MB/sec transfer rate and up to 320 GB capacity on a single cartridge.
New manufacturing and recording technologies have created a tough, lightweight, high capacity, high performance media that more than measures up to the uncompromising storage demands of today’s dynamic, risk-aware businesses. DDS/DAT provides a reliable, low-cost, easy-to-use backup solution for small to medium-sized businesses to meet increasing storage demands and compliance criteria. A Storage Media Kit is also available, providing a complete tape media solution in one easy to buy product.
HPE DLT/SDLT Data Cartridges offer high capacity and low cost per GB for customers with existing investments in DLT backup technology. HPE SDLT II cartridges support DLTSage for improved media and drive diagnostics, enabling IT managers and network staff to better manage, predict and proactively prevent backup problems. DLTIce allows cartridges to be formatted as WORM tapes for compliance with regulations on data retention and archiving. To increase capacity, SDLT II transfers optical servo guide information to the other surface of the media, increasing the number of recording tracks on the data-bearing media surface. HP’s DLT/SDLT media is exhaustively qualified for use with HPE and non-HPE DLT/SDLT drives. A continuous testing program in HP’s media laboratory guarantees the high levels of quality uniquely specified by HPE.
Do you need to add direct-attached storage to your HPE ProLiant BL460c Gen10 server blade? The HPE D2500sb Storage blade delivers direct-attached storage (DAS) to the HPE ProLiant BL460c Gen10 server blade, with support for up to 12 hot plug small form factor (SFF) SAS- or SATA-based hard disk drives (HDDs) or SAS-/SATA-based solid state disks (SSDs). The enclosure backplane provides a PCI Express (PCIe) connection to the adjacent HPE BladeSystem c-Class enclosure and enables high-performance storage access without any additional cables. The HPE D2500sb Storage blade includes an internal HPE Smart Array controller with 2 GB flash-backed write cache (FBWC), for increased performance and data protection. Up to eight HPE D2500sb Storage blade devices can be supported in a single HPE BladeSystem c7000 enclosure.
HPE XP for Compatible Extended Remote Copy (XRC) Software provides disaster protection and data migration capability for data stored on an HPE XP Disk Array by implementing IBM mainframe compatible asynchronous remote replication. XRC provides the same functionality as IBM Extended Remote Copy (now called IBM TotalStorage z/OS Global Mirror), and is compatible with System Data Mover (SDM) mainframe software. When data is written to the local XP disk array, XRC temporarily stores a timestamped copy of it in a sidefile. SDM in one of the mainframe hosts asynchronously reads the sidefile data from the local XP disk array and then writes the data to the remote disk array.
XRC can be combined with other XP disk array replication products for additional availability. When combined with Hitachi TrueCopy for Mainframe, XRC supports 3 Data Center disaster recovery solutions.
HPE XP P9000 Resource Partition Software allows role based access control of XP P9500 resources. It allows storage administrators to partition XP P9500 Storage resources, at physical and logical level (Ports, Parity Groups, LDEV, Host Groups, External Volume) and assigning these resources to sub-administrators while retaining overall control.
HPE XP P9000 Resource Partition Software is ideal for a multi-tenant environment set up where dedicated sub-administrators need to manage the IT infrastructure needs of their respective business units. At the same time, it allows the datacenter administrator retain complete control of XP P9500 Storage resources. Datacenter administrators can decide to partition XP P9500 Storage resources either at a logical level to improve storage utilization efficiency or at a physical level to improve quality of service and avoid data and access breaches across multiple tenants.
