HPE Value SAS MU SSDs transfer data at 12 Gb full duplex (bidirectional) allowing greater I/O bandwidth to alleviate bottlenecks at twice the 6 Gb interface of SATA SSDs. A single-ported version of enterprise 12 Gb SAS, HPE Value SAS MU SSDs provide slightly reduced performance in exchange for being price competitive to enterprise SATA SSDs.

HPE NVMe High Performance Mixed Use (MU) Solid State Drives (SSDs) are best suited for high I/O applications that require a balanced performance between reads and writes to deliver high performance and endurance for data-intensive applications. NVMe High Performance MU SSDs communicate directly to applications via the PCIe bus to boost I/O bandwidth and reduce latency.
HPE NVMe High Performance MU SSDs deliver high performance and lower latency data transfers from storage significantly faster than SAS or SATA SSDs. They utilize the high bandwidth of PCIe Gen4 in select servers for mixed use workloads such as Big Data analytics, high-performance computing (HPC), and virtualization.
The DVD-RW drive is capable of reading DVD 4.7 GB through 8.5 GB media. It can also read standard stamped, CD-R, and CD-RW media. This drive supports writing to CD-R, CD-RW, DVD+R/RW, and DVD-R/RW media via software utilities. For Microsoft® operating systems, this is available by installing the included Roxio software disk. For other operating systems, an operating system-specific software utility is required for writing to media.
The DVD-ROM drive is designed to read not only CD-ROM and CD-R/RW discs but also DVD-ROM, DVD-RAM, DVD+R/RW and DVD-R/RW discs.
