HPE Apollo 8000 iCDU Rack
The HPE Apollo 8000 Intelligent Cooling Distribution Unit (iCDU) Rack provides 320 kW of efficient and resilient cooling using the lower half of a standard rack footprint. The iCDU connects to a standard 2.5-inch facility water pipe and cools up to four HPE Apollo f8000 racks.
The iCDU serves as a heat exchanger between the primary facilities and the secondary IT cooling. It isolates the secondary IT cooling loop for consistent water quality, containment, pressure and flow. The secondary loop remains at sub-atmospheric temperatures and the water flowing from redundant iCDUs to HPE Apollo f8000 racks is pumped under vacuum keeping water in place, for operational resiliency and serviceability.
Smart sensors automatically track thermal activity, dynamically adjusting system components to enhance system cooling for optimum efficiency.
The iCDU comes with a modular plumbing kit with quick disconnect 2.5 inch stainless connectors and flexible hoses for fast and easy deployment.

Compact Cooling for Up to Four HPE Apollo f8000 Racks
The HPE Apollo 8000 iCDU Rack provides 320 kW of cooling in the lower half of a standard rack footprint. The top half of the rack is available for switches or other equipment to support your HPC infrastructure.
The HPE iCDU connects to a standard 2.5-inch facility pipe, and with ASHRAE-spec water, cools up to four HPE Apollo f8000 Racks.
Failure is Not an Option
The HPE Apollo 8000 iCDU Rack isolates the primary facilities loop from the secondary IT cooling loop for consistent water quality, containment, controlled pressure and flow.
The secondary IT loop not only has a positive displacement pump, but also has a vacuum pump to keep water in place by maintaining sub-atmospheric pressure.
The HPE Apollo 8000 iCDU Rack supports N+N redundancy for resiliency.
Built-in Intelligence and Automation
The HPE Apollo 8000 iCDU Rack has smart sensors that automatically track thermal activity, dynamically adjusting system components to enhance system cooling for optimum efficiency.
HPE Apollo 8000 System Manager provides visibility and control of the system, including power, environment (air, humidity and water), racks and servers.
Quick Connect Plumbing Kit
The HPE Apollo 8000 iCDU Rack provides a modular plumbing kit and comes with 6 foot lengths of piping that are pre-assembled and pre-tested in the factory.
Quick connect 2.5-inch stainless connectors and flexible hoses allow for much faster deployments without sweating pipes.
