The Installation Service is part of a suite of HPE deployment services that are designed to give you the peace of mind that comes from knowing your HPE and HPE-supported products have been installed by a Hewlett Packard Enterprise specialist in accordance with the manufacturer’s product documentation.
HPE 200 Series HC StoreVirtual for Microsoft® Cloud Platform System Standard Installation and Startup Service provides planning, service deployment, installation verification testing (IVT), and an orientation session to facilitate deployment of the features and functionality of an HPE Hyper Converged 200 Series StoreVirtual product
The HPE M-series Ethernet Switches Installation and Startup Service pertains to the use of a HPE M-series Ethernet Switch in a storage fabric environment or as an Ethernet top-of-rack (ToR) switch. This service includes an HPE service specialist to complete hardware installation and configuration for the device as well as specific verifications to ensure the most optimal functionality of the product. Certain storage paths, lossless flow control policy based on Data Center Bridging Capability Exchange (DCBX) and/or Ethernet flow control, and connectivity products are among the covered specifications within this service.
Designed to provide a smooth startup, the HPE 3PAR StoreServ 7000 Storage Installation and Startup Service provides deployment of your HPE 3PAR StoreServ 7000 Storage, helping to ensure proper installation in your storage environment as well as helping you increase the benefit from your storage investment.
The service provides the activities required to help you deploy your HPE 3PAR StoreServ 7000 Storage into operation. With the assistance of your designated IT storage administrator, a Hewlett Packard Enterprise service specialist deploys your array as more fully described in the ‘Service features’ table below.
When ordered with the upgrade products, the service also provides deployment of hardware upgrades to your existing HPE 3PAR StoreServ 7000 Storage.
HPE Installation Service for ProLiant Storage Server provides for the unpacking, installation, and basic configuration of your HPE ProLiant Storage Server (network attached storage [NAS]) device, connection of all cables, and initial verification tests as described in the product manual. During the configuration process, the HPE service specialist will use a setup wizard to set required network addresses, configure a sample user file share, and map that file share to a host. A sample file data copy, or Snapshot, is also created. A brief orientation session is provided that will include an explanation of the product features and a demonstration of verification tests, including host access to the storage share and to the Snapshot copy.

HPE Installation and Startup Service for HPE StorageWorks ESL E-Series, EML E-Series, MSL, and VLS Tape Libraries provides for the installation and implementation of HPE StorageWorks libraries, including library sub-components in SAN environments.
These services supplement your purchase of HPE’s Installation and Start-up Support Services by providing you with additional time from a Hewlett Packard Enterprise service specialist to help you complete the installation and startup of your new HPE Storage or HPE servers product. When you purchase the HPE Additional Time for Storage or Servers Installation and Startup Service, a Hewlett Packard Enterprise service specialist will be assigned to your organization, at HPE’s discretion, for either four or eight hours blocks to assist with mutually agreed-upon HPE installation and deployment activities that are managed and directed by you.
